I got the inspiration for this mini-package from an Etsy card. Unfortunately, the card is no longer available but here is a picture.
As I have mentioned before, I prefer to DIY than buying it for two reasons. First of all, putting in your time and effort makes it more personal and shows you care. Second of all, it saves money, specially when you are sending a card every week like me. I am not artistic at all but I tried my best and that is what counts lol. So here is my version:
Now that I sent it, I wish I would’ve added a border, some seaweed, hearts or something else to it. It kind of looks plain, but I think it is still sweet. I included this card and a bag of Swedish Fish gummies.
I was going to add a bag of gold fish crackers/cookies too but my boyfriend doesn’t like them so I didn’t add it. There are a lot of cute things you can do with the fish theme. You can play around with it and send a text version of this or send a picture version. For example:
Its hard to see but the one with the candy says “They say there are plenty of fish in the sea, but I want THAT fish!” The writing above the two fish together says “me ❤ you” and the writing in the middle of the big group of fish says “the sea”. It’s super adorable! You could also take it to the next level and get a friend to deliver a real fish to your S.O. lol!
